Matrox Monarch EDGE 4K/Quad HD, Low-Latency, SRT-Ready Encoder with 12G SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 Connectivity
The Matrox® Monarch EDGE is a 4K/quad HD, low-latency, SRT-ready encoder with next-generation I/O (12G SDI and SMPTE ST 2110) designed for live broadcast/web contribution and remote integration (REMI) workflows. As a multi-channel broadcast H.264 contribution encoder, Monarch EDGE is capable of transporting 4:2:2 10-bit video at resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 fps. This low-power appliance with a compact half-width 1RU footprint is equally suited as a 4K web-contribution encoder or as a remote-feed encoder for remote integration applications.
Part of the larger family of Matrox encoders, Matrox Monarch EDGE supports a number of encapsulation and transport protocols to deliver video over GigE networks. The optimized H.264 codec minimizes encoding latencies to enable live production applications while also keeping data rates exceptionally low—and without sacrificing quality.
Matrox Monarch LCS Multi-Source Streaming and Recording Appliance
Matrox® Monarch LCS is a dual-channel, dual-input H.264 encoder that serves as a stand-alone lecture capture appliance or a live webcasting solution. This compact, flexible appliance features 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs with built-in production modes that supports simultaneous dual-channel streaming or top-quality recording while streaming. Whether used for lecture capture or webcasting, the Monarch LCS delivers powerful encoding that is easy to use.
Matrox Monarch HDX Dual-Channel H.264 Encoder Appliance
Matrox® Monarch HDX is a dual-channel H.264 encoder for broadcast streaming and recording. Monarch HDX offers 3G SDI and HDMI inputs with frame-synchronization to correct any discontinuity at the input, and two independent H.264 encoders that can be assigned to individual tasks. Webcasting to YouTube and Facebook Live is made easy through its simplified set up for these popular platforms. All that’s needed is to pair the device once with these accounts and it’s automatically retained for subsequent streams.
Matrox Monarch HD Professional Streaming and Recording Appliance
Matrox® Monarch HD is a small, easy-to-use video streaming and recording appliance designed for professional video producers to stream a live event while simultaneously recording a higher, master quality version for post-event editing or archiving. Webcasting to YouTube and Facebook Live is made easy through its simplified set up for these popular platforms. All that’s needed is to pair the device once with these accounts and it’s automatically retained for subsequent streams.
From any HDMI input source such as a camera or switcher, Matrox Monarch HD generates an H.264-encoded stream compliant with RTSP or RTMP protocols. While encoding the video at bitrates suitable for live streaming, Matrox Monarch HD simultaneously records a high-quality MP4 or MOV file to an SD card, a USB drive, or a network-mapped drive. Matrox Monarch HD is remotely controlled using any computer or mobile device with a web browser.
Matrox SMPTE ST 2110 25 GbE Network Interface Controller Cards
Matrox SMPTE ST 2110 network interface controller (NIC) adapters offer a complete ST 2110 solution to build reliable and scalable COTS-based 10 GbE and 25 GbE IP solutions. Matrox ST 2110 NICs offload all packet processing required for ST 2110-20, ST 2110-21, ST 2110-30, ST 2110-31, and ST 2110-40, as well as ST 2022-7 redundancy, to free up system resources. With integrated PTP support and NMOS, these video aware NICs provide comprehensive COTS-based ST 2110 solutions.
Matrox SDI Video Input/Output Cards
Matrox delivers a full range of SDI IO cards that are designed for optimal performance, flexibility and scalability. High-density SDI cards provide up to 12 reconfigurable inputs and outputs with support for SD, HD, 3G and 12G SDI for SD through 4K/UHD resolutions. The video capture cards share the same memory-centric architecture featuring high-speed transfers to co-processors, GPUs, and CPU memory. Some cards are equipped with video processing engines for multi-channel HDR conversions, motion adaptive de-interlacing, pristine scaling, and powerful compositing for high-density 4K video processing. Built-in frame synchronization for each video input and fail-safe capabilities add the reliability to be able to deal with any signal or harsh environment that your solution might face.
Matrox 4K H.264/XAVC/AVC-Ultra Codec Cards
Matrox’s latest 4K H.264 encoder/decoder cards are ideal for broadcast distribution, contribution and production systems such as video servers, IP multiviewers, high-density media encoders, and transcoders for on-premises and cloud-based deployments. Featuring onboard codecs, they offer unprecedented multi-channel H.264 4:2:2 10-bit encoding/decoding density and quality with the lowest power consumption. The onboard multi-channel high quality motion-adaptive de-interlacer and up/down/cross scaler allow content to be repurposed into any resolution, which is particularly beneficial for OTT workflows. Sony XAVC and Panasonic AVC-Ultra formats are supported with real-time encoding and decoding to build multi-channel 4K production servers.
The Matrox Monarch HDX dual-channel broadcast streaming and recording appliance will reveal live webcasting made simple by streaming from HDMI or SDI sources to Facebook Live, YouTube, and content delivery networks (CDN)—with multi-camera production value—while simultaneously recording to a second location.
