Registration

1.    Who can attend?

BVE is the UK’s leading Entertainment and Media Tech event, with a 20-year history dedicated to the broadcast, production and post-production sectors.

In recent years, the show has evolved into an all-encompassing event that also covers the Connected Media, AV Systems Integration, Live Production, VR and creative sectors.

It attracts more than 15,000 visitors who attend to discover and learn about the latest products, services and trends from more than 300 leading manufacturers and distributors.

Visitors can expect to benefit from a choice of over 120 hours of free seminars, case studies, panel discussions and learning workshops, all presented by experts over the 3 day event.  Upskill, learn about upcoming technology and share knowledge whilst also seeing, touching and testing the very latest kit before networking with peers. 

This is a trade only event, which means that unfortunately is not open to members of the general public. The age restriction on attendance is 18 years + (Please be reminded that you will need to carry photographic I.D as staff reserve the right to request this at any time).

2.    How can I register for the show?

Registration for BVE is free of charge if you register in advance. Click here to register.  

3.    How can I register a group?

To register a group of 8 or more for the show, please contact us and request to have the form sent to you.

Please then complete this ensuring that all information is correctly completed to enable us to complete the registration process for each visitor. 

Please note, Group registrations are for ages 18+. 

4.    I am a student, am I able to attend the show?

Students of Undergraduate level and above (individuals and groups) on relevant courses of study are welcome to attend on the last day of the show but will not be permitted to trade.

Students will be asked to show an NUS identity card or equivalent student identity.

All students will be required to register for the event via the normal registration process.

All students must be aged 18+

5.    Is the show free to attend?

Entry is free to all trade visitors who register online prior to the show (or those looking to start a new business in the next 12 months).  

6.    Can I register when on arrival to the show?

Yes, you may register upon arrival at the show. There will be an onsite charge of £30.00 for this so please register in advance.

7.    When will I receive my Entry badge?

Post: If you have opted to have your entry badge posted out to you, your entry badge will arrive within the two week run up to the show open. However, if you do not receive your entry badge by post you can still print your e-ticket which you will receive attached to your confirmation email once you have registered to attend the show.

Email: If you opted to go green you can print your e-badge at the end of registration or from the confirmation email once registration is complete. If you are unable to print your badge, don’t worry – just show us this confirmation email on your mobile device.

8.    Can I edit my registration details?

If you wish to edit your registration details, please go to your confirmation email and click on the option ‘edit your details’. This will then open up a new window allowing you to change your details.

NB: The option of having your entry badge posted cannot be changed in the 2 week run up to the show open days as badges will have already been posted.

9.    Is attendance to the show date specific? Can I attend on more than one day?

Attendance to the show is free on any day and not date specific. If you wish to attend on more than one day, please keep hold of your entry badge.

10.    Where does my visitor e-badge/entry badge allow me access to?

Your entry badge allows you access to the whole show unless stated otherwise. For example, if your entry badges state ‘Press’ you will have access to the show Press Lounge.

11.    What if I have forgotten my e-badge/entry badge when I arrive at the show?

Registration staff at the main registration desks will be able to find you by company name/surname on our data base to print your entry badge. If you can, please provide proof of company name via business card or confirmation email etc. Entry to the show without entry ticket/ badge will be done at the registration staffs discretion.

12.    Can I bring children?

Unfortunately this is a trade event and only open to those of 18 years+

There is a crèche facility a short walk from ExCeL (Custom House side of the venue, across from the ibis hotel). Busy Bees provides a safe, clean and contemporary environment for 100 children aged 3 months to 5 years. You will need to book 7 days in advance. Contact details are as follows:

15.    How do I get there?

16.    Where do I park?

All onsite parking is pay and display, with the exception of the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, which is located at the west end of the site.

Parking in the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park can be paid for at one of the three pay points located within the car park at the end of your visit.(the machines are located on level two and level zero and all machines accept both cash and credit card).

17.    Where can I stay?

18.    Is there free WIFI at the venue?

Yes, free WIFI is available throughout all the Show Halls at ExCel London. To connect, select ‘ExCel Free Wifi’, and fill in the information form on your browser page.

19.    What date/time does the show open?

Show opening times are as follows:

Tuesday 28th February: 10:00 - 18:00Wednesday 1st March:10:00 - 18:00Thursday 2nd March:10:00 - 16:30  

20.    Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, there is a cloakroom available in the centre of the Boulevard outside halls N4 and S4. Prices start at £1.00 per item. Items are left at your own risk. Large cases accepted within reason.

21.    How do I find my way around the show once I have arrived?

On arrival to the show, show guides with floor plans will be available to collect at the entrance.

22.    Is there a cash point?

Cashpoints are located opposite to Hall entrances S1, S4 and S6 in the boulevard.

23.    Are there disabled facilities at the venue?

Information about exhibitors 

27.    Who will be exhibiting/How many exhibitors will there be?

BVE attracts over 300 exhibitors with 280 speakers and over 150 seminars over the course of 3 days. It allows professionals to source new products and is an essential annual event for the broadcast industry.

Seminar and feature information 

29.    How many seminars are there?

There are over 150 seminars each year.

30.    Are seminars free to attend?

Yes, seminars are free to attend. 

31.    Are seminars ticketed?

No, our seminars are run on a first come, first served basis. All we advise is to arrive at the seminar plenty of time before the start time to avoid disappointment.

32.    Do I need a visa?

 33.    I require an invitation letter to assist with my visa application. How do I apply?

Unfortunately we cannot issue personal/individual letters of invitation for visa purposes.

Once you have registered via the show website you will receive a confirmation email which is sufficient for visa application.
