General and Registration

1. Who can attend?

BVE is a broadcast and production industry trade show and therefore we welcome visitors who are actively employed or have a strong professional interest in technology and services related to multimedia production, management and post, and broadcast.

2. How can I register for the show?

Our full registration is open 3 months before the start of the show. Prior to this, you may register your interest in attending the show which will mean you are notified once full registration for the show opens.

3. I am a student, am I able to attend the show?

Students of Undergraduate level and above (individuals and groups) on relevant courses of study are welcome to attend the show from noon on the final day of the show. Students will be asked to show an NUS Identity card or equivalent student identity.

4. Can I bring children?

Unfortunately as this is a trade event, under 18s are not permitted to visit the event. 

There is a crèche facility a short walk from ExCeL (Custom House side of the venue, across from the Ibis hotel). Busy Bees provides a safe, clean and contemporary environment for 100 children aged 3 months to 5 years. You will need to book 7 days in advance.

5. Is the show free to attend?

Entry is free to visitors who register in advance - entry on the day without a badge is £15.00.


6. Can I register when upon arrival to the show?

Yes, you may register upon arrival at the show however there is an on the day registration and entry free of £15.00 to do so.

8. When will I receive my E-Badge or Entry badge?

Post: If you have opted to have your entry badge posted out to you, your entry badge will arrive within the two week run up the show open. However, if you do not receive your entry badge by post you can still print your e-ticket which you will receive attached to your confirmation email once you have registered to attend the show.

Email: If you opted to go green you can print your e-badge at the end of registration or from the confirmation email once registration is complete. If you are unable to print your badge, don’t worry – just show the registration staff your confirmation email on your mobile device.


9. Is my show registration, date specific?

Registration for the show is non-date specific. Once you have registered and have printed your e-badge/received your entry badge you are able to attend the show on any of the show open days and as many times as you wish.


10. Where does my visitor e-ticket/entry badge allow me access to?

Your e-badge/entry badge allows you access to the whole show unless stated otherwise. For example, if your e-badge/badge states ‘Press’ you will have access to the show Press Lounge.


11. What if I have forgotten my e-ticket/entry badge when I arrive at the show?

Registration staff at the main registration desks will be able to find you by company name/surname on our database to print your entry badge. If you can, please provide proof of surname/company name via business card or confirmation email etc. Entry to the show without e-ticket/entry badge will be authorised at the registration staffs discretion.

3. Where do I park?

All onsite parking is pay and display, with the exception of the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park, which is located at the west end of the site. Parking in the Royal Victoria multi-storey car park can be paid for at one of the three pay points located within the car park at the end of your visit (the machines are located on level two and level zero and all machines accept both cash and credit card). 5. Is there free WIFI at the venue?

Yes, free WIFI is available throughout all the show halls at ExCeL London. To connect, select ‘ExCeL Free Wifi’ and fill in the information form on your browser page.


6. What date/time does the show open?

Show opening times are as follows:

Tuesday 24th February: 10:00 - 18:00

Wednesday 25th February: 10:00 - 18:00

Thursday 26th February: 10:00 - 16:30

7. Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, there is a cloakroom available in the centre of the Boulevard outside halls N4 and S4. Prices start at £1.00 per item. Items are left at your own risk. Large cases accepted within reason. If you have VIP access, then please use the cloakroom in the VIP Lounge.


8. How do I find my way around the show once I have arrived?

On arrival at the show, show guides with floor plans will be available to collect at the entrance.


9. Is there an ATM?

ATMs are located opposite to Hall entrances S1, S4 and S6 in the boulevard.


10. Are there disabled facilities at the venue?

11. Where can I eat/drink?

Themed cafés serving light snacks and refreshments can be found within the halls alongside numerous bars, restaurants and seating areas outside the halls offering anything from a quick drink to a more substantial meal.

Some 350 brands will exhibit at BVE including major manufacturers, distributors and resellers of professional production and broadcast equipment and systems. Seminar and Features Information

1. How many seminars are there?

BVE once again brings an exciting line-up of speakers, covering a wide range of innovative and hot-topic themes. Distributed across 8 theatres and hosted by more than 200 leading experts and practitioners, the CPD-accredited programme delivers high quality, research-led seminars for professionals across the film and TV industry.  Across the 3 days there will be over 200 seminars.

2. Are seminars free to attend?

Yes, seminars are free to attend.


3. Are seminars ticketed?

No, our seminars are run on a first come, first served basis. All we advise is to arrive at the seminar theatre in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

Information for International Visitors

1. Do I need a visa?

2. I require an invitation letter to assist with my visa application. How do I apply?

Unfortunately we cannot issue personal/individual letters of invitation for visa purposes. Once you have registered via the show website you will receive a confirmation email which is sufficient for visa application.
