Andy has been at the forefront of technical and editorial development surrounding multiplatform at the BBC for a number of years. He is currently the Head of the BBC College of Technology, overseeing all training and development for technology, software and systems for the BBC.  
 
Andy has chaired cross-broadcaster strategies sessions for Dutch Broadcasting, looking at the future of Channel Scheduling and Funding, he sits on the Behind The Screen Working Group for eSkills, redesigning the ICT GCSE, and also on the CIHE working group on Research and Devlopment in the UK. Andy has won the Taiwanese Innovation in Audio and Visual award for DTV and Interactive solutions, and has collaborated with Broadcasters from South Africa, Holland, Norway, Germany, US, Brazil, Russia, Iraq, Australia and Singapore. He has worked on projects with Nokia, Microsoft, Freemantle, Cisco and Siemens amongst others. He is currently developing work in Cloud Computing, Loudness and File-Based Delivery.
